Look at the picture above. Notice how the pavement looks uniform and most cracks are not visible. There are a few in front of the parking lot where they were 3-4 inches wide these are not normal cracks but the Phoenix coat did an excellent service
First let us explain when the The Phoenix Coat service is needed. when there are ample amounts of cracks in the pavement and little to no coating left on the pavement. That's the basic answer.
The Phoenix Coat is our Premium seal coat service which consist of six Steps which we will breakdown each step in it's entirety
First step is to clean out all the cracks. All the way down to the bottom of the pavement. We use a special wire broom and compressed air to clean out these cracks. If the cracks are not clean then we can not service them adequately with the crack treatment, SO THEY HAVE TO BE CLEAN. Then we take our parking lot blower and brooms to clean the top of the pavement making sure to leave no dirty areas where the seal coat can not adhere.
Our crack treatment starts of with concentrated seal coat as it's base then special additives are added and aggregates are added to make up the slurry seal which is directly poured into the cracks
The seal coat is directly poured onto the pavement and is spread using a squeegee broom making sure to apply ample amounts into the cracks. Sand is added into the mix for any rough areas while the coating is in progress this to add aggregate where aggregate was lost from driving and weather conditions. This helps to make a smoother Finnish
Repeat Crack treatment exactly the same as step two. You mite be asking why? The material sunk and more is needed. We have to build layers
The same as step 3 Seal coat is poured directly onto the pavement and is spread with squeegee broom making sure to apply ample amounts into cracks
Before we do the final coat we suggest you take the time to walk around with us to see if there is any problematic areas that need addressed. We do touch up to cracks and rough areas. Then comes the final coat which is a spray coating of the seal coat to make a uniform finish
